The pot, payouts & your balance

The pot

Every board posts its price per square, and the pot is simply price × player squares sold — House and Bonus squares never pay in, so the pot is real money from real players. The board shows the pot and what each period pays, in percent and dollars.

The split

The classic split is Q1 15% · Half 25% · Q3 15% · Final 45%, but every organizer sets their own — the board page always shows its actual numbers. On Reverse boards each period's share splits again between the Real and Reverse winners.

Getting paid

Winners are computed automatically from the live scores, and once the game goes final, winnings post straight to your WesPools balance — usually within a few minutes. No chasing anyone down at the end of the night.

The house rules on money

• WesPools never holds or moves money. People settle up person-to-person — Venmo, cash, however your group does it. The app is the scorekeeper and the ledger, not the bank.

• On house boards, claiming a square puts the entry fee on your balance tab; on Private boards, money is strictly between you and that board's organizer — the app just runs the board.

• Released before kickoff (ask your organizer) and your fee comes back. Once the game starts, entry fees are final — that's true across every WesPools game.
