HOUSE & BONUS squares

If a board draws with open squares left, the blanks are dealt automatically — same random shuffle — as HOUSE and BONUS squares, dealt player-friendly (roughly one House for every three Bonus).

  • HOUSE — if it wins a period, the house keeps that share. Simple.
  • BONUS — the good one. If a Bonus square wins a period, that share is split equally among the winners of the other periods. A Bonus hit is a raise for everybody who won something.

So an unfilled board still pays every period — no dead quarters, and unsold squares mostly work *for* the players.

The all-Bonus board

If every period somehow lands on Bonus squares, the board doesn't just hand everything back: the house takes a small posted cut, then a score-walk finds a true winner — starting from the final score, add one point to each team and check that square, up to nine steps, first claimed player square takes the rest. If the entire walk comes up empty, the remainder splits evenly across every player square — sent back.

On fundraiser boards with donated prizes, blanks are dealt as House only — a prize can't be split, so an unsold square winning means the organization keeps that prize.
